◎本學科學習目標: The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the concepts and methods of doing research and the principles and format for writing research papers, particularly in the field of English language teaching. Both quantitative and qualitative research methods will be covered. Students are expected to preview book chapters and sample papers and complete assignments before class so they can actively participate in classroom discussions and activities. Evaluation will include assignments, quizzes, midterm exam, term project and participation. It is hoped that this course will equip students with basic knowledge and skills for conducting research projects and writing academic papers that are often required in their professional courses. |
