◎本學科內容概述：
The course aims to help students understand the conventions of English poetry. Fundamental poetic terms and metres will be properly introduced. Both traditional and contemporary poems will be covered in order to enhance students’ literary competence in poetry reading. |

Poems will be selected based on themes, as students will learn the idiosyncrasy of each individual poem. Students are expected to be equipped with analytical skills in reading, discussing, and interpreting poetry after the completion of this course. |
