◎本學科學習目標: This course is the second part of the general introduction to the scientific study of
language. This semester we will continue the sub-fields of linguistics which were not
covered last semester: semantics (meanings),psycholinguistics (human language processing) and computational linguistics (computer processing of human language). Students will also learn about language acquisition and reflect on their own language learning. |

Assignments turned in after one week past the due date will not be accepted and will receive no credit. Do not copy the answer keys or other's homework. Copied homework will receive no credit. |

Your language learning autobiography should overview your language learning experiences and evaluate the relative success (or failure) of each. Please explain your definition for success and failure.
In order to accomplish this, you may want to prepare a summary sheet, then develop into aspects of your history in more detail, highlighting one or more factors from the following list:
why you chose to learn this L2
the role of your L1, motivation, teachers, classmates, technology, textbooks, tests,
your styles and strategies, any cross-cultural living experiences while learning the L2.
(You are not limited to these factors, of course.)
Finally, what can be learned about effective language learning from reading your autobiography?
Please limit your autobiography to one typed double-spaced page. |
