◎本學科內容概述:
This is an introductory course that covers the fundamentals of teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) needed to work effectively in an English Language classroom as an English teacher. In this course, students will learn the knowledge of the language system and the skills which English learners need to be proficient users of English.
◎本學科教學內容大綱:
‧to develop an awareness of the English language system ‧to develop an understanding of the basic theoretical background on teaching and learning languages. ‧to develop an understanding of the basic approaches and techniques in teaching English as a foreign language ‧to develop an understanding of the roles of teacher and learner ‧to develop a repertoire of basic teaching techniques in various language skills ‧to become familiar with resources and materials for EFL class
◎本學科學習目標:
This course is designed for the pre-service teachers who are interested in teaching English to young learners of other languages. Through taking this course, the students can develop the basic understanding of language teaching methodology and design teaching activities to help young learners to develop English language skills.
