◎系所教育目標：
本系以經濟動物及伴侶動物並重，從基礎獸醫學、副臨床獸醫學、臨床獸醫學課程、動物疾病診斷以及醫院診療技術均予以完整訓練，以加強培育各動物類別之疾病診斷人才及臨床獸醫師。

◎本學科內容概述：
本課程採用之教材以獸醫外科之基本技術及Small animal surgery二書為主，內容理論與實務並重。內容涵蓋動物各系統相關疾科之外科處置。課堂以Powerpoint及臨床病例進行講解：實習課除介紹外科手術之觀念及知識外，並讓學生實際以實驗動物進行模擬手術。 |

After complete of this course, the students will be able to correctly use surgical instrumentation, tie sutures and ligature, and maintain the operating room. In addition, students will be able to establish and conduct the surgical plan, and care postoperative patient. |
