◎本學科內容概述: 本課程旨在幫助學生提升高階英文能力,並藉此提升聽力、口說及閱讀應考能力。經由練習各類型考題, 學生能理解並熟悉校外標準化英檢測驗的題型,培養相關之考試與應答技巧,不僅如此,學生能提升自我學習英語的內在與外在之動機,主動探索不同的英語學習媒材,為自己創造使用英語的機會。在課堂中,通過積極參加課堂活動(例如精讀,口語練習,模擬考題)來運用多樣化的學習和思維方式討論和口頭報告,以期在英文能力未來將達到中高級水平。 |

◎本學科學習目標: This course provides an overview of strategies for improving students' performance on standardized proficiency examinations. All four skills will be covered. Strategies for enhancing students' listening and reading comprehension will be introduced to help students practice and review their performance in listening and reading comprehension. Besides, emphases will also be laid upon the general accuracy and fluency in students' speaking and writing practices. Individual effort and collaborative learning will be equally highly valued in this course, in the hope of boosting students' confidence in daily life scenarios as well as in preparation for examinations. |

◎課程要求: 1. This course will mainly be instructed in English, with Mandarin in use only occasionally . Supplementary and multimedia materials will be used in order to enhance students' English proficiency. Four performances will serve as the checkpoints of each student's improvement.

◎成績考核 課堂參與討論15% : Active class participation is highly encouraged. 小考10% : 2 Quizzes 期中考30% : Midterm exam on Listening will be implemented to test your enhancement in this class. 期末考30% : Final exam on Reading will be implemented to test your enhancement in this class. 口頭報告15% : Group presentation of sample tests: Each group should analyze the sample test within 30 minutes. |
