◎本學科內容概述:
本學科旨在增進學生對英文兒童文學的了解與認識。其內容包含兒童文學的歷史 (西元前400年、中世紀、歐洲文藝復興時期、17-20世紀、當代發展)、定義與特性、兒童文學與兒童發展 (認知、道德、社會心理、語言、 美感)之關係、兒童文學作品不同文本 (含括繪本、小說及非小說)之認識及欣賞、繪本圖文賞析、近代繪本作者介紹、文學作品分析及教授之方法(文本分析、讀者回應等)、此外,學生必須嘗試簡單兒童英語繪本之創作並在公開場合分享作品。
◎本學科教學內容大綱:
本學科教學內容大綱包含兒童文學的歷史、定義與特性、兒童文學與兒童發展之關係、兒童文學作品不同文本之認識及欣賞、繪本圖文賞析、近代繪本作者介紹、文學作品分析及教授之方法,此外,學生必須嘗試簡單兒童英語繪本之創作並在公開場合分享作品。

This course is designed to acquaint students with children’s literature in the English language as well as to foster an appreciation of children’s English literature with a primary focus on the category of picture book. In addition, students, working in small groups or independently, will also have an opportunity to create picture books appropriate for elementary students.

Active participation is essential. Passion for children and children's books are preferable.
