◎本學科內容概述:
本科目引導學生發展批判性思考能力、提升學生口語溝通能力及善用傾聽與口說技巧。
◎本學科教學內容大綱:
本科目教授傾聽與口說的技巧,並以每周一個議題的安排方式讓學生上網搜尋學習新知,進而於課堂中與同學討論進行聽講訓練。
◎本學科學習目標:
This course is designed to enhance students' Engligh proficiency in their verbal communication. Students will have to learn how to listen and respond to a wide variety of topics, and then learn how to express their ideas and thoughts fluently. Supplementary materials and multimedia will be introduced to help students get in touch with the real-life scenarios in terms of language use.

◎課程要求:
****To ensure the highest standards of teaching, this course is limited to a maximum of 26 students.
**為維持授課品質,本課程學生數上限為26人。**


1. This course will mainly be instructed in English, with Mandarin in use only occasionally . Supplementary and multimedia materials will be distributed and used in order to enhance students' English proficiency in real-life scenarios. Midterm and final will serve as the major checkpoints for students' enhancement.

2. Under each unit there will be a in-class practice. Make sure your partner will not be left alone.

3. Fluency and spontaniety are two major criteria.

4. Active class participation is highly encouraged.

5. Each absence (both excused and unexcused) will deduct 10 points from your overall score for class participation. Too many absences will automatically disqualify you from taking the final.
◎成績考核
課堂參與討論30% : In-class participation and assignments
期中考35% : Midterm includes both listening and speaking exams.
期末考35% : Final includes both listening and speaking exams.
