◎本學科內容概述:
本課程是高中與大學英文基本能力的橋接課程,旨在幫助學生從頭複習、並加深學習英文文法與修辭。
◎本學科教學內容大綱:
本課程從八大詞類開始,重溫並加深句子結構分析,英文時態、助動詞、三大子句,不定詞,動名詞等等的文法知識,期末則以文學修辭作結,並著重於課堂現場練習,希望能從活動中,加深文法與修辭的觀念。應用於往後的課程。

This course emphasizes grammatical points that are important to your understanding of the English language. There will be topics related to Chinglish or natural English, agreement, connection, and word order in sentences. We likewise will address the grammar of different parts of speech. There will also be elaboration on rhetoric effects as seen in simple, compound, complex, inverted, short, or long sentences. Furthermore, we will also focus on specific devices such as simile, metaphor, analogy, personification, hyperbole and pun.

期中考30% : Test questions come from my class lectures and textbook chapters. The test format may consist of application, sentence completion, grammatical points, paragraph organization, etc.

補充說明:4. Attendance and other criteria: 20%: This category is related to your attendance, course preparation, and participation in the class activity. Absence for three times or more may contribute to your failure in this course as each ineligible absence costs you FIVE points of the semester score. You are reminded to pay attention to the following attendance policy: 1. Please inform me of your absence prior to the class, with the reason explained. 2. You need to do the informing by yourself, rather than asking others to pass your message, unless you are physically incompetent. This can be done in written or spoken form. 3. Constant late arrivals also lead to a deduction of score.
