◎本學科內容概述: 本課程旨於幫助學生了解並習得清楚正確與標準的英語發音,以提昇學生的口語溝通能力。上課時,會強調口語連音、語調、重音與節奏方面的英語發音,並著重在聽與說的練習。本課程學習目標包括: 導正學生基礎英語發音之概念、訓練學生各發音部位之增進、培養學生發音及音調的準確性(以錄音、回饋和反複性為基礎)。本課程除了介紹語音的特色以及培訓學生的語音教學能力和技巧之外,包含英語的母音、子音、音節重音、語音節奏、語調特色、及不同的口音和常見的發音問題,都將為課堂探討主題之範疇。 |

◎本學科學習目標: The goal of this course is to assist students in enhancing their spoken English pronunciation. Through a brief introduction to the production of consonant and vowel sounds in English, as well as an understanding of the distinct characteristics of intonation and stress, the course offers students various opportunities to practice listening and speaking. Emphasis will be placed on pairs or groups of sounds that may cause confusion, connecting sounds across syllables and words, stress patterns, intonation, rhythm, and more. Apart from in-class exercises, students will receive some recording assignments throughout the semester, each focusing on specific sounds or features for improvement. The course aims to develop students' awareness of sounds, help them identify pronunciation issues, and guide them in finding efficient solutions to enhance their pronunciation skills. |

◎課程要求: 1. Class etiquette: You are expected to attend classes on time. If you must be absent from class, you take responsibility for the absence. Notify us in advance through the university official leave system. You will not pass the course once you miss the class with no excuses over four times.
2. Active participation: There are many exercises and activities in our class. The more you get involved, the more you learn.
3. Late homework will not be accepted except for compelling reasons and with prior permission of the instructor. |
