◎本學科內容概述: 本課程為英文寫作三學期課程的第一門課,旨在培養學生掌握英文寫作的基本架構如:主題句,並能用英文流暢地寫出factual(事實性文體)寫作的各種相關文件,主要包括narrative(記敘文)、procedure/process、comparison/contrast(比較)以及cause/effect(解釋)等文體的語言使用以及修辭結構,以奠定英文寫作(II)議論文寫作和英文寫作(II)議論文和英文寫作(III)文本報告寫作的基礎,完成本課程後,學生應有能力用英文寫出完整的3~5段英文作文。 |
◎本學科教學內容大綱: 學生將先從procedure/process作文學起,已能正確描述完成一個工作的次序,並應同時學會文章的主旨句(theme) ,接下來是學記敘文,描述某個事件發生的始末,並需同時學會文章中每個段落的主題句(topic sentence)。第三種文體則是比較文,且需同時學會文章中的cohesion/coherence概念,最後則是解釋文,此時學生應能充分掌握一段英文寫作的主要結構(theme, topic sentence, cohesion/coherence)之概念。 |
◎本學科學習目標: The objectives of this course is to develop students writing skills by introducing the concepts of rhetorical methods and the application of process writing.
By the end of the course, the students will be able to
1. learn how to compose process, comparison/contrast, argumentation genre.
2. learn the different rhetorical structures associated with each genre type.
3. learn how to use supporting techniques to organize the ideas. |
