◎系所教育目標：
本系以經濟動物及伴侶動物並重，從基礎獸醫學、副臨床獸醫學、臨床獸醫學課程、動物疾病診斷以及醫院診療技術均予以完整訓練，以加強培育各動物類別之疾病診斷人才及臨床獸醫師。
教育目標如下：
1.培育各動物類別之臨床獸醫師。
2.培育獸醫學專業知識以及各動物類別診療技術人才。
3.培育獸醫人員基本研究素養。

◎本學科內容概述：
本課程採用之教材以獸醫外科之基本技術及Small animal surgery二書為主，內容理論與實務並重。內容涵蓋動物各系統相關疾科之外科處置。課堂以簡報及臨床病例進行講解：實習課除介紹外科手術之觀念及知識外，並讓學生實際以實驗動物進行模擬手術。 |
