◎系所教育目標：
本系以經濟動物及伴侶動物並重，從基礎獸醫學、副臨床獸醫學、臨床獸醫學課程、動物疾病診斷以及醫院診療技術均予以完整訓練，以加強培育各動物類別之疾病診斷人才及臨床獸醫師。

◎本學科內容概述：
以問題導向教學方式，引領獸醫系四年級學生進入小動物內科醫學領域，除使學生認識各器官系 統之內科疾病，學習各系統的診斷方法（含儀器診斷）、治療程序以及預後評估外，更強調建立整 體臨床思路，以便五年級能勝任臨床實習診療工作。 |
