◎系所教育目標：
本系以經濟動物及伴侶動物並重，從基礎獸醫學、副臨床獸醫學、臨床獸醫學課程、動物疾病診斷以及醫院診療技術均予以完整訓練，以加強培育各動物類別之疾病診斷人才及臨床獸醫師。
教育目標如下：
1.培育各動物類別之臨床獸醫師。
2.培育獸醫學專業知識以及各動物類別診療技術人才。
3.培育獸醫人員基本研究素養。
4.培育具備防疫檢疫、動物疾病診斷及獸醫檢測技術能力，造福社會產業之人才。 |

◎本學科內容概述：
介紹動物繁殖生理特徵、特性與功能，引導學生具備學習產科與繁殖障礙的基本認知；以及介紹繁殖障礙與難產之緣由、影響、診治、以及預防策略，使學生具備學習各種動物之專門臨床課程的完整知識，以及研讀課內、外相關專業文獻與報告。此外，以分組方式進行牧場實習，進行觀察及臨床檢察，記錄資料，進而整理報告並討論。 |
