◎本學科內容概述:
「全球本土化」由全球化與本土化(亦稱在地化)複合而成,若將此複合詞拆解,全球化指向一股均一以及同質化(homogenization)的浪潮,相對於本土化指向帶有歧義而異質化(heterogenization)的力量,「全球本土化」核心關注為全球化勢力以及在地思維相遇、衝撞後,所產生的各種融合、抗衡。「翻譯與全球本土化」便是思索在全球本土化的脈絡下,翻譯所扮演的角色與功能。本課程採用專題討論的上課方式,前半學期每週針對1-2篇指定讀本進行詳讀、課堂報告、討論,後半學期則是採用專題導向學習模式,完成一個符合全球本土化核心關注的翻譯專題。
◎本學科教學內容大綱:
本課程以「全球化與殖民主義」、「全球化與文化」、「全球化文化身份」、「跨國彈性身份」等主題作為認識與討論全球本土化的基礎,再輔以翻譯在全球本土化脈絡中的學術文章,建構學生的認識框架。

This course explores the principles and practices of translation and glocalization in the Taiwanese context. Students will gain a deep understanding of the cultural, linguistic, and technological aspects of translation, and how these factors intersect with the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the globalized world.
