◎本學科內容概述：
「全球本土化」由全球化與本土化（亦稱在地化）複合而成，若將此複合詞拆解，全球化指向一股均一以及同質化（homogenization）的浪潮，相對於本土化指向帶有歧義而異質化（heterogenization）的力量，「全球本土化」核心關注為全球化勢力以及在地思維相遇、衝撞後，所產生的各種融合、抗衡。「翻譯與全球本土化」便是思索在全球本土化的脈絡下，翻譯所扮演的角色與功能。本課程採用專題討論的上課方式，前半學期每週針對1-2篇指定讀本進行詳讀、課堂報告、討論，後半學期則是採用專題導向學習模式，完成一個符合全球本土化核心關注的翻譯專題。 |

本課程以「全球化與殖民主義」、「全球化與文化」、「全球化文化身份」、「跨國彈性身份」等主題作為認識與討論全球本土化的基礎，再輔以翻譯在全球本土化脈絡中的學術文章，建構學生的認識框架。 |
