◎本學科內容概述：
William Shakespeare, the National Bard in English literature, is one of the most pivotal and favourite literary geniuses, whose influence is far-reaching and extensive. This course aims to offer close readings and analyses of Shakespeare’s plays and sonnet, as well as the theatre history at Shakespeare’s time. |
◎本學科教學內容大綱：
Selected readings of Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets will be closely studied. Students will understand the life of Shakespeare, learn the historical and cultural context of Shakespeare’s works, and appreciate the craft of William Shakespeare. |

2. To appreciate the poetics and rhetoric of Shakespeare's works
