◎本學科內容概述：
本課程旨在引導學生研讀二戰後至一九八零年代的
近代美國文學進而認識其反應的戰後美國社會所關注的冷戰、白恐、族裔認同、反越戰及猶太屠殺等重大議題。此課程內容與研究議題為本系單學期三學分必修課「美國文學」無法涵蓋的學習範圍。 |

◎本學科學習目標：
This course aims to introduce students to learn about America’s tumultuous period approximately covering 1945 (post-WWII)-1980s and the diverse American literature which represents the issues debated and tackled in this period. Guided reading of chosen texts will help students understand the important issues about ethnicity, Cold War, White Terror, Anti-Vietnam War and Holocaust which the required but single-semester American literature cannot cover. |
